    • Father was Suddhodhan , King of Sakya republic
    • Mother was Mayadevi, died after seven days of his
    birth
    • Married at early age with Yosodhara and they had
    son Rahul

    • 6 years of meditation led to the discovery of truth
    and Gautama became Buddha i.e. the enlightened

    Four Noble Truths

    Suffering and unhappiness are a part of human life. No one

    Suffering comes from our desires for pleasure and material

    to cessation of sorrow
