APLICATIONS AND SERVICES


Landscape (Server management): Landscape allows you to manage
thousands of Ubuntu machines as easily as one, making the administration of
Ubuntu desktops, servers and cloud instances more cost-effective.

Ubuntu Server on Power: In addition to x86 and ARM servers, Ubuntu is
supported on the Power architecture. This means you can now build your
infrastructure on any hardware you choose.

Juju – application modeling: Juju enables you to design and deploy entire
workloads in just a few clicks. It works on OpenStack and even directly on bare
metal, via MAAS.

MAAS – bare metal provisioning: MAAS is a time-saving provisioning system
which makes it quick and easy to set up the physical hardware to deploy
complex services, like Ubuntu’s OpenStack cloud infrastructure.

LXD, the linux container hypervisor: merges the speed and density of
containers with the manageability and security of traditional virtual machines.

FUNTIONAL FEATURES


Ubuntu's goal is to be secure "out-of-the box". By default, the user's

ADVANTAGES


Most of the elements of a computer such as processor, RAM, hard
drives, graphics card and other elements are better used using Ubuntu,
that is because the consumption of resources is lower in this operating
system.

Hardware drivers are downloaded from secure sites.

The software used is free (although there are proprietary programs).

Stability of the system.

Ubuntu runs without antivirus, the probability of getting infected is very
low.



Ubuntu is a friendly distribution


DISADVANTAGES


Software incompatibility.

When working with complex Windows documents, it could become a
difficult or almost impossible task due to the low compatibility to import
from Windows for Linux.

Installing hardware drivers and programs turns out to be more
complicated than in Windows. This is because the companies that
create controllers create their products based on Windows, the
operating system most used worldwide.

Understand and learn to use this operating system because for
beginners this operating system is difficult.
