Canopies have a wide variety of uses from providing shade to us to protecting our assets from Mother
Nature. Canopies now come in a variety of sizes and shapes depending on their desired use. It is also

Canopy in construction
evolved as an architectural
feature during the
Renaissance. During that
period, it was employed as a
fixed structure supported on
pillars.

BRACKET

Brackets canopy are used in conjunction

with the various fastening methods.
The type used depends on the region’s
weather conditions and the awning
fabricator’s preference.
Bracket Canopy can be used as porch
cover or just for decoration.

3
CANTILEVERED

Cantilevered canopies are a specific

type of canopy system that utilize a
single column instead of a typical
double column system.
The result of using a single column is
that the canopy “cantilevers” out past
the column.

4
SIMPLY SUPPORTED

In simply supported canopy the whole

canopy is supported by the column on
the sides, column taking the load of
the canopy.
This is generally considered as being
the most simple type of canopy.

5
SUSPENDED

Suspended canopies are building

elements made of a roof in panels,
glass or polycarbonate, and a metal
frame anchored to the wall and
without the use of supporting
columns.
Its is supported by the strings from
the main structural member.
