I. INTRODUCTION
People spend nearly one third of their adult lives at work,
and workplace issues are a common source of stress for many. It is
impossible to have a workplace where everyone's roles, expectations,
and personalities work perfectly together, without conflict. As such,
certain workplace issues may cause negative psychological symptoms.
Research shows perceived stress in the workplace, for example, is
associated with a higher prevalence of mental health issues such as
depression and anxiety. The workplace is typically an environment in
which people with different personalities, communication styles, and
worldviews interact.
II. TERMS AND DEFINITION
ROUTINE - a sequence of actions regularly followed; a fixed program

PROBLEM- a situation, question, or thing that causes difficulty, stress,

or doubt that requires a solution.

GENERAL- customary, prevailing, regular, ordinary;

WORKPLACE- A place of employment . A place where people perform

task, job and projects.

v. FINDING SOLUTION TO PROBLEMS
Promote equality and teamwork, asking for and giving feedback, addressing
negative attitudes and behaviors, and so on. This will result in a happier, more
collaborative and engaged workforce, which can lead to increased productivity,
retention, and success.
Praise and promote behavior that promotes working together, as opposed to
working for yourself. This does not mean that all efforts need to be for only the
team’s benefit as a whole, but rather making sure that employees see the value of
helping and building trust with each other. With trust between team members,
your company can compete effectively and become successful.
Tailor training and development programs for your workers
Create a long-term technology strategy while staying flexible enough to take
advantage of unexpected technological developments
VI. APPLYING/RECOMMENDING OF
PROBLEM SOLUTIONS
•Discuss the problem with a mentor to find the best way to handle them
•(For Bullies) Try to deal with it yourself by confronting the bully in a calm, confident manner. Tell
the bully that their comments or actions are offensive and give them an opportunity to correct his
or her behavior.
•(For Gossipers)Be friendly, but act busy and they will get the message that you have better things
to do.
•(For whiners)Be empathetic, but put the problem back on them
•(for Backstabbers)Confront them calmly about their behavior. Do not play their game.
•(Dealing with Harassment)Ask the person to stop, and don't put yourself in compromising
situations. If you feel unsafe or need help, report it to your supervisor and human resources. Keep
a detailed log of the other person's behavior
•If a coworker's poor work habits are affecting your job performance, explain respectfully to them
how their behavior is affecting you and what you would like to see changed.
•Avoid them if possible, be pleasant when you have to work with them
•Don't let them isolate you or make you feel bad about yourself. Stand up for yourself. Never sink to
their level
“You have a brain and mind of your own. Use it
and reach your own decisions.”
