• Graduated from Polytechnic University of the Philippines: Bachelor in
Physical Education (2007); Licensed Professional Teacher (2007); Master
in Physical Education and Sports (2011)
• Currently a regular full-time faculty member of PUP College of Human
Kinetics and COED-GS
• Teaching PE subjects since 2008-present
• Hobbies: Mountain Hiking, Biking, Running, Backpacking, and
Photography
• Founder and President, Outdoor Adventure Education Philippines

SUBJECT DESCRIPTION
This course deals with the knowledge and understanding of
basic concepts and principles of Arnis. It is primarily
designed for beginners, which primarily focused on Arnis as
recreational physical activity for health and fitness.
SUBJECT DESCRIPTION
Through mastery of the basic skills, exercise drills, and
independent or self-directed PAs, fitness levels will be
enhanced. In conjunction with this, fitness levels, PA
participation and healthy eating habits are evaluated to
monitor one’s progress and achievement of personal fitness
goals. Furthermore it develops moral values such as self-
confidence, self-discipline, and sense of responsibility.
COURSE OUTCOMES
1.Demonstrate understanding and appreciation on
the importance of physical activity and exercise
to enhance one’s capacity to take responsibility
of having an active and healthy lifestyle .
2.Show appreciation on Arnis not only as a
traditional sport but also as part of our culture
and national heritage.
3.Demonstrate movement skills in Arnis with
ease and competence.
