Indegene Case Study: Presented by Bharadwaj K 20BSPHH01C0290

The document discusses a case study for a project to build a complex website for a client within 30 days. It outlines a plan to execute the project successfully by: 1) Using a waterfall methodology given the defined scope and timeline, 2) Developing a project plan with assumptions, risk assessment, effort estimation, and resource planning, and 3) Implementing a quality management plan to ensure standards and objectives are met.

INTRODUCTION

PROBLEM STATEMENT
• To Build a complex website for the client within 30 Days (One Month)
Objective

• To complete the project in shortest possible (TAT) timeframe with strict adherence to quality

• To Ensure good project margin

1. How would you go about executing this
project successfully?
1. The project success depends on the timely completion of the project with adherence to the
established/proposed quality standards as defined in the Project Charter/SOW
In order to ensure the above there is need for detailed planning, Execution and control methodologies

• Planning

• Scheduling

• Execution

• Monitoring
Selection of an appropriate delivery model
for this project
• Options Evaluation: 2 methods of project delivery models are widely used in the industry
1. Agile Methodology
2. Waterfall Method
• Selection: We chose Waterfall Method
Reason: As per the problem statement clearly mentions that the project is complex and time constrained with client
already providing the 80% of required modules to build the website. We can establish a clear timeframe and schedule the
project as scope of project been clearly established
Project Plan

1. Assumptions: We consider the following assumptions while executing the

project
• Client has no restrictions on the budget , provided timely delivery is made
• There shall be no further requirement changes for the proposed 15 module
2. Risk Assessment & Mitigation Plan:
Techniques : Cause & Effect Diagram, Risk Analysis , Contingency & Mitigation
Plan

Severity Scale
Low 0.00 - 0.02
Medium 0.02 - 0.08
High 0.08 - 0.20
Very High 0.20 - 1.00

Likelihood and Impact Scale

Low 0.00 - 0.10
Medium 0.10 - 0.40
High 0.40 - 0.70
Very High 0.70 - 1.00

3. Effort Estimation
Use of RACI , Stakeholder Management and Communications plan to determine the
Impact and influence on the project
Use of Earned Value method for Estimation of effort based on the monetary value of the
task completed
4. Resource Planning
Use of Document Review, Delphi Method, Lesson learned techniques to identify the
Resources & Skills for Project
CPM PERT Methods to determine the Critical Path and the optimistic estimates of project
completion to aid in resource loading
5. The first 15 Modules shall be started using the CMM Method and the remaining 5
Modules will be worked in Agile Methodology
