Virtual World: Presented To - Mrs. Harmeet Kaur Presented by - Mishul Gupta

This document discusses virtual worlds and their applications. It defines a virtual world as a computer-simulated environment inhabited by multiple users through avatars. Virtual reality can be immersive, involving surrounding displays, or non-immersive using regular desktops. Input devices like VR headsets and gloves and output devices like audio and haptic feedback are used. Virtual worlds are useful for education by allowing students to observe virtual economies or interact with foreign languages. Applications include retail, architecture, learning, recruitment, entertainment, sports, art, and more. Advantages include creating realistic experiences and enabling exploration, while disadvantages include expense and inability to move freely. VR offers new interaction and teaches in ways not possible in reality.
