 A monitor- usually comprises the display device, circuitry, casing, and power
supply.
 A Computer monitor- is an output device that displays information in pictorial
form.
 Monitor- are very important because without them you wouldn’t be able to view
your output.
 WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE OF MONITOR AND TELEVISION?
-Monitor were used for data processing, while Television sets were used for
entertainment.
 What are the different types of monitor/s?
-Cathode Ray Tube Monitor
The display was monochrome and far less sharp and detailed than on a modern flat-
panel monitor.
-Liquid Crystal Display
The LCD monitor makes use of one of the most advanced tech available today by
using CCFL(cold cathode fluorescent) for back lighting.
The advantages of LCDs include their compact size which makes them lightweight.
-Organic LED (light-emitting diode)
OLEDs are flat panel, or slightly curved display which make use of light-emitting
diode for back lighting instead of CCFL used in LCDs for back-lighting.

-Touch screen monitors


These use touch as an input method.

-Ultra wide Screen monitors


Monitors that feature an aspect ratio of 21:9 as opposed to the more common 16:9.
Mainly used for gaming purpose.

-Tablet Screen Monitors


This is a combination of monitor with a graphics tablet.
