Zig Bee

ZigBee is a wireless networking standard developed as an open global standard to address the unique needs of low-cost, low-power wireless networks. It builds on the physical layer and media access control defined in IEEE standard 802.15.4 to provide a simple protocol that can be implemented globally. ZigBee allows the creation of personal area networks with small, low-power digital radios that can operate for months or years without battery replacement. Research on ZigBee is being conducted in areas such as wireless sensor networks, wireless communications, and neuroengineering. The technology is expected to be widely adopted for applications such as home automation, environmental monitoring, and industrial control.
