• Among the four provinces of the Ilocos
Region, Pangasinan has vast plains.
• Located in the east of the region is the
Cordillera. This part is hilly and mountainous.
• The region has long coastline because the
West Philippines Sea is located in the west.

• The Agno River that flows to the Lingayen
Gulf is also found in the region. This regional
characteristic is the reason why agriculture

and Mount Makiling.

• It refers to the responsible visit or going to
natural areas with the purpose of helping
the area and its inhabitants.
• It is also the aim of ecotourism to
supplement the knowledge of those who visit
these places to make them more socially
responsible in taking care of natural areas.
