Smart Irrigation can be simply defined as the application of controlled amount of watering for
plants at required intervals.
Smart irrigation systems allow users to track their irrigation status, start and finish the process with
INTRODUCTI
a press of a single button, and receive updates on moisture levels, weather updates, and crop status.
ON
This method can be used by farmers who do not have strength for agriculture having large
Agricultural area, minimum water availability and do not have huge labor availability.
To update farmers with the new technology and to avoid manual labour for saving the time, money
and power of the farmer.
Continuously monitoring the status of moisture of soil through sensors and provide signal for taking
necessary actions.
OBJECTIVES
To make Irrigation process becomes more feasible and affordable.

It allows the user can monitor and maintain the moisture of the soil to the crop in an effective and an
economic way.
CONCLUSIONS
This project uses minimum human efforts.
This system cost and maintenance cost is very less than that of existing automatic irrigation systems.
• The future scope of this project could be including variety of soil sensors like
pH sensor, Rain sensor and then collecting and storing the data on cloud
server. This would make the predicting and analyzing processes more
accurate and will help farmer to fertilize the soil properly by monitoring the
pH value of soil. FUTURE
