Abstract

 Travelling through flights has become an integral part of today's lifestyle as more and
more people are opting for faster travelling options. The flight ticket prices increase or
decrease every now and then depending on various factors like timing of the flights,
destination, duration of flights. various occasions such as vacations or festive season.
Therefore, having some basic idea of the flight fares before planning the trip will surely
help many people save time and money. In the proposed system a predictive model will
be created by applying machine learning algorithms to the collected historical data of
flights. This system will give people the idea about the trends that prices follow and also
provide a predicted price value which they can refer to before booking their flight tickets
to save money.

Case study

 Flight ticket prices can be something hard to guess, today we might see a price, check out
the price of the same flight tomorrow, and it will be a different story. To solve this
problem, we have been provided with prices of flight tickets for various airlines between
the months of March and June of 2019 and between various cities, using which we aim to
build a model which predicts the prices of the flights using various input features.

Purpose of Project

 The purpose of project is to find lowest fair ticket from various airline to destination.
 Customers will save money as our project will help them to find lowest flight ticket

System Objective

 The prime objective of this project is to use web based mechanism to model the behavior
of flight ticket prices over the time and predict the price of the flight-ticket. The goal of
this project is to study how airline ticket prices change over time, extract the factors that
influence these fluctuations, and describe how they're correlated (essentially guess the
models that air carriers use to price their tickets)
 Customer should get lowest fare ticket for his journey.
 Customer should save money and get lowest fare.

Conclusion

 This System customer can predict the flight price of a


particular seat on a day before booking the flight tickets. It
will provide an ease to the customer for the flight ticket
booking.
 Travelers can save money if they choose to buy a ticket
when its price is the lowest.
 The problem is how to determine when is the best time to
buy flight ticket for the desired destination and period.

Future Scope

 Implement Database to store historic data.


 Develop mobile application
 More routes can be added and the same analysis can be expanded to major airports and
travel routes in India.
 The analysis can be done by increasing the data points and increasing the historical data
used. That will train the model better giving better accuracies and more savings.
 Developing a more user friendly interface for various routes.
