Teacher roles
The teacher's role in helping students explore themselves is at the core
MON
of learning. Making discoveries from teacher-assigned assignments that
TUE they are genuinely interested in and encountering challenges, and the
feeling they derive from self-direction, is both a learner benefit and a
WED
wonderful life tool.
THU

FRI
1. Scaffolding

is a learning process in which a teacher adds support for students to

MON
improve learning and assistance in task mastery. Teachers do this by
TUE systematically building on students' experiences and knowledge as they
learn new skills. As students master a given task, support is gradually
WED
removed. And in teaching methods that guide students by reducing
THU teacher assistance gradually

FRI
Providing student with opportunities to self
monitor
MON
In the independent process, the teacher determines the goals and
TUE strategies that make up effective learning for students. The teacher
helps students in concluding the learning outcomes that have been
WED
done. Assessment and evaluation is an opportunity for students to
THU understand the learning process. By providing this opportunity,
students can plan learning strategies or self-assess their behavior and
FRI
record the results. Although it does not create new skills or
knowledge, self-monitoring increases or decreases the frequency,
intensity, or duration of existing behavior
Offer model of Behavior

Students in learning understand their learning resources and

MON
opportunities for them to achieve learning objectives. But students have
TUE weaknesses in learning such as the learning strategies they apply.
Teachers can provide learning strategies or teacher behavior in helping
WED
students in the learning process. By offering teacher behavior, students
THU can observe techniques and effective practices to help them develop into
independent and responsible learners.
FRI
Developing communication that includes language
focused on learning
In the learning process, the teacher realizes that independent learning is a
MON
learning strategy for students. Teacher and student communication that
TUE creates conditions for students to manage their own learning process and
learn collaboratively with their peers to become more independent
WED
learners.
THU

FRI
Providing feedback on homework

Providing feedback means giving students an explanation of what they

MON
are doing correctly and incorrectly, with the focus of the feedback on
TUE what the students is doing right. It is most productive to a student's
learning when they are provided with an explanation as to what is
WED
accurate and inaccurate about their work. Feedback is any response
THU regarding a student's performance or behavior. It can be verbal, written or
gestural. The purpose of feedback in the assessment and learning process
FRI
is to improve a student's performance not put a damper on it. It is
essential that the process of providing feedback is a positive, or at least a
neutral, learning experience for the student.
