Company profile
• It was founded in 1973 A.D
• It is a family business managing multiple companies that manufacture and
distribute alcohol beverages
• It manufactures beer, brown spirits, white spirits
• The company has 5 manufacturing units.
Objective of the study
• To understand how to enhance the digital presence of Ruslan Vodka.
• To understand the liquor industry of Nepal.
• To understand the digital context (which includes social media platforms)
of liquor businesses in Nepal.
Internship activities
i. My responsibilities:
• Go through articles for idea generation
• Prepare a questionnaire for a survey
• Visit competitor’s social media page
• Contact Di’s of different valleys

• Provide summary of online drinks portal of Nepal
• Analysis of brands of the company
• Prepare a SWOT analysis for Ruslan Vodka.
ii. My contribution
• Maintained daily activity of competitors social media.
• Distributed gift hampers to popular faces of Nepal for Valentine’s Day.
• Updated the excel sheet of DI’s.
• Researched about online marketing campaigns of brands leading
worldwide.

• From the survey I conducted it helped to know the perception of people
towards current digital presence of Ruslan Vodka.
• From the SWOT analysis, it was easier to highlight the factors to be
worked on.
• Summary of online drink portal could help analyze the best fit for the
company.
• The analysis of brands, helped review each product of the company.
Identification of problems
i. Problems faced during the internship:
• Adjust in the company
• At first I was not able to communicate with the DI’s properly
• To prepare a communication brief
• During the distribution of gift hampers.
ii. How I solved those problems:
• I had very kind and friendly office personnel
• My job supervisor briefed me on how we should communicate with the
Di’s
• My job supervisor explained me about the communication brief
• The office personnel that was with me taught me how we should approach
them.
Learning process
i. Learnings during the internship:
• I developed more professionalism in me
• I started focusing on small details about post made by competitors
• I started analyzing the type of post done by companies in social media
• I learnt about communication brief
• I learnt that social media post related to occasion would be more effective
if it is having physical existence.
ii. Details of the related learning process and new knowledge:
• I learnt about terms related to trade such as; “on trade” and “off trade”
• I learnt how to create a proper analysis of competitors activities
• I got to learn about some new digital marketing techniques such as; “Geo-
targeting” and “Running our brand ads to consumers who have liked
competition tie-up outlets.”
Conclusion
• I was able to gain knowledge about how to build marketing strategies in
order to make it very effective
• I was able to make new connections and maintain good relation with
office personnel
• I was able to learn about new digital marketing techniques
