Biorobotics uses biological characteristics from living organisms as a knowledge base for developing new robot designs. Military robots are used for tactical purposes like intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance using small, almost invisible robots to monitor enemy forces. They are also used for mine clearance and search and rescue operations in dangerous environments. For disabled people, robotic arms, wheelchairs, and treadmills are used to assist with activities, prevent loss of skills, and enhance walking ability for rehabilitation.

BIO ROBOTICS
Biorobotics is the use
of biological  characteristics in
living organisms as the knowledge
base for developing
new robot designs.
TACTICAL MILITARY USE
Today, the nature of warfare has
changed drastically, and
technology plays a key role in
shaping warfare tactics.
TYPES OF MILITARY ROBOTS
Today, robots are equipped with
advanced technologies of automated
weapon systems having the capability
to counter any attack.
INTELLIGENCE, SURVEILLANCE AND
RECONNAISSANCE (ISR)
 Currently, armed forces no longer rely on
humans and instead use small robots,
which remain almost invisible to the
enemy.
 These robots monitor enemy forces or
specific areas and send videos and images
to the ground station with the assistance
of GPS.
WASP ROBOT
SEARCH AND RESCUE ROBOTS
 Search and rescue robots are highly
advantageous in war.
 They can manage to search, track, and rescue
even in nuclear, biological, radiological, and
chemical environments.
 They can be operated remotely by soldiers from
a command center. In some cases, they can even
work autonomously.
BEAR ROBOT
MINE CLEARNCE
MINE CLEARNCE robots are used to detect
and clear the mines without any risk to
humans
 Russian military in 2016 used a robot
called URAN-6 robot to clear historic world
heritage site of palmyra of explosives.
 URAN-6 robots defused almost 3000
explosives devices including mines.
OTHER TYPES OF MILITARY
ROBOTS

EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL

FIRE FIGHTING
SHIPBOARD AUTONOMOUS
FIREFIGHTING ROBOT
FOR DISABLE PEOPLE
CHILDRENS
Children with severe disabilities
can develop helplessness, which
makes them lose interest in their
environment.
 Robotic arms are used to provide
an alternative method to engage in
joint play activities.
WHEELCHAIR
 Persons with severe disabilities may be
assisted with robotic wheelchairs when
manual control is not possible.
 These devices can deter loss of residual
skills and frustration.
 Traditionally wheelchairs either gave
control to the person or robot depending
on disability level.
TREADMILL
 Bodyweight-supported treadmill training (BWSTT) are
used to enhance walking ability of people with
neurological injury.
 These machines are used in the clinical setting, but is
limited by the personnel and labor requirements placed
on physical therapists.
  The BWSTT device, and many others like it, assist
physical therapists by providing task-specific practice of
walking in people following neurological injury.
