ONLINE BUS RESERVATION

SYSTEM

INTRODUCTION

Online bus booking system is windows based


application That works within centralized
network. it provides facility to reserved seats
,cancellation of seats and different type of
enquiry which need an instant and quick
reservation.. E-ticket is the easier and quickest
way to take bus.

example: redbus, ksrtc


EXISTING SYSTEM
1. No information on thedelay of bus to
passengers
2. Slow response about refunding
3. Low quality customer service
4. High registration and service charge
5. Troll fee is not available for customer enquires
6. They increase the bus ticket fares during
festival time and public holidays
PROPOSED SYSTEM
(DREAMTRAVEL.COM)
1.Providing special concession to physically and
disabled customers
2.Providing with discount regular customers
3.Cancellation charges 40% deducted only till
the last 8 hour
4.Same rate of tickets during festival season
even if the demand is high
5.Reduced rate if two way travel
6.Message alert for the current locations
7.No third party involvement

ANALYSIS
In this phase, we have analyzed the existing
systems and investigated problems associated
with it. We understood the limitations of the
existing system and got a clear idea of the
requirements and need for a new system. The
analysis resulted in us getting pre-requisites for
the logical model for the new system.
DESIGN

1. After the requirements have been


determined, the necessary specifications
for the hardware, software, people, and
data resources, and the information
products that will satisfy the functional
requirements of the proposed system can be
determined.

proposed system

Login Module

• Login module allows users to register, log in,


log out.
• Login module automatically appears here
• Users enter the username and password to
login.

• Selecting your source , destination location and


the date of journey.
• Choosing from the various services available
for the given date.
• Selecting your seats and inserting a couple of
simple information.
• Conforming your booking details.
• Making the payments.

CANCELLATION MODULE

• Cancellation fee will be deducted from the


passenger’s reservation amount.
• Cancellation slabs (% fare refund) is based on
the time of cancellation and departure time of the
service at the place of boarding.
• In case of partial cancellation, the seat no. of the
passenger who will not travel has to be
cancelled.

• In respect of e- tickets cancelled by the


passenger, Accounts Department of
dreamtravel.com will refund the amount
applicable to the concerned Credit card/Debit
Card/ Online banking account .
• Refunds to passengers will be given normally in
15 working days, after the cancellation of ticket
or receipt of e-mail. If refunds are delayed,
passengers may contact dreamtravel.com troll
free no.
PROJECT SIGNIFICANCE
It is important to customer because customer can
check availability of the bus ticket, buy bus
ticket, and pay the bus ticket online. E-ticket is
different with traditional paper ticket because e-
ticket is safer, faster, reliable and cheaper.
Besides that, this concept can be used by
dreamtravle.com customers will be easier. The
profit the bus will be increased because the online
system will attract more customers and no need to
many staffs at the counter to sell bus ticket because
ticket can be sold efficiency online.
CONCLUSION AND FUTURE WORK

Dreamtravel.com is company online system,


which enable customer to check availability bus
ticket, buy bus ticket, and pay bus ticket online.
It makes the customer easy to get bus ticket
online instead of queue up to buy the bus ticket.
