What is self-regulation?

 Self-regulation is "the process whereby students activate


and sustain cognitions, behaviors, and affects that are
systematically oriented toward attainment of their goals"

(Schunk, Meece, & Pintrich, 2014, p. 158, based on Zimmerman,


1989, 2000).
