Anjali wishes to use to be public or private? How would you justify
your answer?
No , I do not consider the internet message boards that Anjali wishes to use to be public or
private. Because it is good at it’s present condition that is public to certain level and then
private . I would justify my answers in following points :
a. To maintain its privacy of visitors, members and the site.
b. To continuously get connected with its members.
c. Membership rules will protect from anyone to post and response hapazardly
d. Not to let the information and data be misuse.
e. To make it safe, reliable , convenient and accessible by all.
Question 2 : Do you consider informed consent necessary for
Anjali’s research project? If informed consent were necessary,
how should she go about obtaining it ?
Yes , I consider informed consent is necessary for Anjali’s research project to
maintain the privacy of the visitors , members and sites , to follows the rules
and regulations of the site and group.
If informed consent were necessary , she should go about obtaining it in
following ways :
a. By quoting the writer or source.
b. By acknowledging the post, comment and response .
c. By referencing the sources.
d. By seeking permission for it’s use.
Question 3 : What do you think should be Anjali’s policy regarding
the use of direct quotations ?

I think Anjalis’s policy regarding the use of direct quotations is not appropriate and ethical as
well because of following points:
a. For some sensitive topics, many members do not wanted to be quoted directly for some
security or privacy reasons.
b. Some members post few messages and never come back which make much more difficult to
quote them directly.
c. Since the registration is compulsory and post is accessible and can be posted only by the
members , they cannot directly quote anyone else randomly who are not member over there .
Question 4 : What could be the advantages of using online
observation for Anjali? Are there any disadvantages that she
should be aware of ?
The advantages of using online observation for Anjali are as follow :
a. It will be easy, time saving and cost-effective as well.
b. It will be proper and ethical as well as it can reference the source as well.
c. It is reliable and convinent as well

The disadvantages that she should be aware of are as follows :


a. It may be biased as it may be based on his/her opinions and preferences.
b. The information may not be clear and complete as well.
c. The information might changes as the time passed
