UPS Monitoring on the i5, iSeries
and AS/400
1. Set the QUPSDLYTIM system value for the UPS monitoring
feature.
2. UPS monitoring is a standard feature of the i5-iSeries-
AS/400 operating system. QUPSDLYTIM is a time that tells
the system how long to run on UPS power before shutting
down. Each system is initially assigned a default value for
QUPSDLYTIM. A complete description of QUPSDLYTIM is
proved on the AS/400 Information Center Internet Site at:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/pubs/html/as400ic2924/info/index.htm
Select System Administration and Maintenance
CAUTION
The *NOMAX value tells the AS/400 to use customized shutdown software, and if
non is available it will begin shutdown immediately when utility power fails.
