     Facilities to staff, students, parents and public.

    How it helps

     It enables the teacher about strengths and weaknesses of a student which helps the teachers to take actions foe
    reinforcement. Teacher should record for each pupil what is useful and relevant for planning next steps in learning and
    reporting progress’

    Principles of good record keeping

     Following are the principles of good record keeping


     Records must be kept safely.
     They should be easy to access.
     The method should be economical.
     They should show a sense of order.
     They should be under control.
    Grading software

     Grading software is inevitable for most teachers. It is a way not only to record progress
    and ability, but also motivate or punish students. Grading software is a wonderful tool to
    help teachers to manage their records and communicate graded performance back to the
    students. 
     Grading is a process by which a teacher assesses student learning through classroom tests
    and assignment. Grading is important for students.
    Roles

     Grading serves four roles


     It evaluate the quality of a student’s work.
     It communicates with students.
     It motivates how the student study, what they focus on and their involvement in the course.
     It Organizes to mark transactions, bring closure and focus effort for both students and
    teacher.
      
     These are the four roles of grading which are also called as evaluation, communication,
    motivation and organization.
    Advantages:

     Following are the advantages of grading software;


     It will minimize misclassification of students on the basis of marks.
     It will eliminate unhealthy competition among high achievers.
     Disadvantages
     It does not instill a sense of competition.
     Not an accurate representation of the performance and the knowledge gained.
     It is not an exact scoring system
    Purposes

     The ultimate goal of grading for learning is to provide grades that are accurate. Basing a student’s
    grade on assessments of learning, allows the teacher to create a clear picture of what the student has
    learned without the influence of other, non-academic factors. The primary purpose of grading
    system is to clearly, accurately, consistently and fairly communicate learning progress and
    achievement to students.

     Most nations have their own grading system, and different institutions in a single nation can vary in
    their grading system as well. However, several international standards for grading have arisen as
    well.
