Harmonic Sequence

A sequence whose reciprocals form an arithmetic sequence

Find the 8th term of the harmonic sequence ½, ¼, 1/6,…


d= 2 n=8 a 1= 2

Find the 15th term of the harmonic sequence 1/3 , 1/6, 1/9,…
d= 3 n= 15 a 1= 3

Harmonic Mean
It is the reciprocal of the arithmetic mean of the given sequence
Insert a harmonic mean between 1/5 and 1/13.
1/5, 1/ 9, 1/13

Insert a harmonic mean between 1/7 and 1/19.

Insert five harmonic means between 1/4 and 1/22.
