Birth: October 3, 1879 in Puurs, Antwerp, Belguim
Vows: September 8, 1901 Ordination: October 14, 1906 Death: September 21,1938 in Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya at the age of 58 Father Henri Verbeeck was a member of the group that went to Baguio.
He started the CICM mission in La
Trinidad, Benguet and eventually became the fist Parish Priest of what is known today as San Jose Parish. Fr. Verbeeck was humble servant and loving provider to the poor. He was a missionary who was willing to carry on his duty in spite of the adversities at hand in order for the people to live humanly.
Fr. Verbeeck’s goodness as a person was evident in
the way he cared for people. As missionary he put himself at the service of the poor. By transforming the lives of people he helped in the growth of the Church. Fr. Verbeeck was a leader and unifier by the way of his preaching and teaching. In his life Fr. Verbeeck give his solemn vow to become a faithful agent of the Church.
