PURPOSE :
To view QR codes, Q-resistor value, Engine serial

number and ECM part number
To edit or change QR codes when replacing injectors
To copy stored engine information (QR codes,

Q-resistor value, Engine serial number)
to new or used ECM.

HOW TO SELECT ENGINE INFORMATION SCREENS

Turn ignition key switch to OFF
When the part number cannot be acquired from ECM

by CAN communication problem, all part numbers will display F.
In this case, turn ignition key to OFF and ON.

Copying engine information
To copy engine information （ Q resister ・ QR code ・ engine

serial number. ） to replaced ECM the following must be co
nfirmed:
Arrange service ECM (new or used)
Engine information of old ECM must be stored in computer.
Main computer must be able to confirm ECM part number
Main computer is calibrated and has correct model code sel

ected.
No error codes (EEPROM abnormality, ECM time out and CA

N communication error of ECM and EEPROM abnormality

Press travel switch
　
The buzzer sounds when the travel switch is pressed for three
seconds while in “any” of the engine information screens.
※Any of the ENG INF 1~8 screens and either display mode (computer
A or ECM) are acceptable.
The buzzer sounds when

pressed for 3 seconds.
1) Message is displayed as shown while data is copying.
Error code 99 will be displayed while writing it.

2) Wait 10 seconds.
3) Buzzer sounds after the process is completed and error code 00
will be displayed.
4) If the copying / writing is completed unsuccessfully, error codes
will be displayed as
the following. Error code

When injectors are replaced, the QR codes

are inputted and rewritten according to the
following procedure.

Replace injector.
Identify QR codes stamped on QR code

Switch information in ECM

[ EE EE ]
When replacing computer and ECM at the same time
When ECM and computer fail at the same time and engine
information is memorized computer.
Input data according to the following steps.
1) Arrange and replace ECM which already has written

engine information in advance.(not service ECM)
※Information that is written: Q resister, engine serial
number data by EMPS.
NOTE: Engine serial number and Q-resistor can not be
manually inputted to main computer.
2) Input injector QR codes for each injector.
3) Copy engine information to new computer.

Engine information acquisition
Timing of engine information acquisition

– new main computer
Once in each case when ignition key is turned ON

at the time of “factory shipment” -> (New
machine start-up after assembly)
Engine information reacquisition
– used main computer
To reacquire the engine information from ECM
press + switches for 10 seconds on
the engine information screen. If no errors are
detected engine information will be copied to
computer.
Display in problem conditions
‘F’ will be displayed on screen when engine

information is not displayed normally in the
case of ECM time out, CAN bus problem and
EEPROM problem.
Display in the case of EEPROM problem of ECM,

CAN communication error and ECM time out.
