MESSAGE
Dear Parents and Guardians,

We sincerely hope that you, your children, and your families are staying safe and healthy during
this unprecedented time.

Amidst the uncertainties and challenges that we are all facing right now, Genesis Advanced
Intech Academy, Inc., remains steadfast and has been working tirelessly to continually serve the
members of our school community.

At this point, we would like to share with you our Learning Continuity Plan (LCP) which outlines
the principles, processes, strategies, and guidelines that we will be implementing for the upcoming
school year. This document is aligned with DepEd Order No. 007 s. 2020 issued last May 11, 2020.

This plan will be updated as new developments arise. Our foremost priority is the safety and well-
being of our students, and those who nurture and support them. We know that facing the “new
normal” would not be easy for all of us. That is why we ask for your continued support, partnership,
and understanding as we move forward.

Thank you for being one with us in this challenging time. Please stay safe and healthy.

Your partner in education,

Genesis Advanced Intech Academy, Inc.

EDUCATION AND RESILIENCE

As our situation evolves, these principles will

guide the actions and direction the school
would take, moving forward.

Flexibility and adaptability to changing

circumstances, as well as cooperation of all
the members of the school community are
essential to the successful implementation of
this Learning Continuity Plan.
PREPARATION FOR SCHOOL OPENING
PARENT ORIENTATION
Our Annual Parent Orientation Program will be
done virtually this year. This program is EMPLOYEE CAPACITY-BUILDING
purposely designed to give you opportunity to Our teachers and staff have been
familiarize yourself with the school’s programs, undergoing trainings to prepare them for the
curriculum, learning delivery, co-curricular school opening. They will prepare highly
activities, rules and regulations, facilities, engaging activities that aim to lead the
faculty members, etc. students to attain the desired and expected
learning competencies per quarter. They will
also undergo trainings on COVID-19 Safety
PSYCHOSOCIAL WELFARE Measures and Protocols.
One week before the school opening, we will be
sending homework packets that aim to
strengthen the psychosocial wellbeing of both
students and teachers to prepare them for the
new kind of learning approaches that we are
adapting. This will be counted as class days.

Education, the opening of School Year 2020 – 2021

will be on August 24, 2020.

School opening will not necessarily mean traditional,

face-to-face learning in the classroom. We will take
a careful, phase-by-phase approach for the
opening of school (details on the next page).

There will be no school-based assemblies or

physical gatherings during the first quarter. We will
also minimize co-curricular and extra-curricular
activities throughout the school year.

The health and safety of all the members of the ACADEMIC CALENDAR
school community will remain our top priority as we
strive to provide quality education to our learners We will release a separate memo for our

PHASE-BY-PHASE APPROACH

Flexible Learning Approach School-based Learning

We will open the school year using distance or We will gradually increase the

1 online learning approach. Distance

learning will be delivered in two modes: 3 number of days for campus-based
learning and lessen distance
Guided Online Learning Approach (GOLA) learning until everything goes back
and Offline Learning Activity Program (OLAP) to our regular school operation.

PHASE 1 PHASE 2 PHASE 3

Blended Learning
We will combine the use of distance

2 learning and campus-based, face-to-face

learning. We will limit the number of
days in a week for campus-based
learning (e.g. 2 days school-based and
3 days distance learning) as well as the
number of students who will attend on
certain days to better facilitate social
distancing.
PHASE-TO-PHASE MOVEMENT
Movement from Phase 1 to Phase 2 and 3
as well as the exact schedule of
movement will depend on COVID-19
situation and government directives.

Families and all the members of the

school community will be informed ahead
of time prior to movement from one
phase to another to ensure smooth
transition.

FLEXIBLE STUDY PROGRAM (MODES OF DELIVERY)
We understand the importance of flexibility during these times. Distance learning will be delivered in
two modes and parents may choose the one that would work best for them and their child.

EXPECTATIONS ON Flexible LEARNING EXPERIENCE
The transition to distance learning may not be simple or easy for everyone. We acknowledge that
most parents, if not all, are managing multiple responsibilities while also doing their best to provide
incredible support to their child(ren). Some parents are caring for elderly parents and young children,
and many are working from home. We want you to know that we do not intend to place additional
burden on your family during these challenging times.

It is also important to bear in mind that with distance learning, we are not to trying to re-create face-
to-face (F2F) learning, which is impossible to do. Rather, we are all trying our best to rise to the
occasion by maximizing the use of technology to continually meet the learning needs of our learners.

Let us continue supporting one another as we navigate uncharted waters and explore innovative
ways to educate our learners. As always, as a key stakeholder in your child’s development, your
engagement with your child can play a crucial role during this time.

We will issue a separate guidelines on how you can support and secure your child’s online
learning at home. The guidelines will also include detailed instructions on how to download
and operate the different apps like VSMART that we will be using for online learning.
WORK-FROM-HOME
In the same way that we ensure the health and safety of
our students, the welfare of our teachers and staff is also
our top priority. While the COVID-19 remains a threat to
everyone, our teachers and staff will be on a Work-from-
Home set-up for the entire Phase 1 and will gradually
transition to campus-based teaching on Phase 2. We will
also establish a skeletal workforce to support important
logistics and operations in the campus.

This school year is certainly unlike anything we have seen

before. Just like everybody else, our teachers and staff
have also been adapting to these new circumstances and
doing their best to deliver learning and support for our
students. We ask for your understanding and patience in
case we encounter operational and technical issues along
the way. If you have any concerns, questions, or
suggestions, please don’t hesitate to message us directly.
