Key conjunctions used to show cause and effect relationships include: because, because of, as, since, and due to. The cause is the first part of the relationship and leads to the effect. DEFINITION CAUSE AND EFFECT

Cause and effect is common way to organize information

in a text, paragraphs structured as cause and effect
explain reason why something happened or the effect of
something. When writing cause and effect text, you
must remember the purpose why you write the text. then,
focus on immediate words to show cause and effect,
examples are: because, because of, as, since, due to.

 Nothing
happens without a reason or without some kind of condequence.
 When
you explain why things happen and what occurs when they do, the technique you use is called
cause and effect.

Cause is why something happened.

Effect is the result of what happened.

Because effects always have causes and causes always lead to
effects, we rarely see one without the other.
 The cause is the first thing that happens.
 It makes the second thing ( the effect ) happen.
 The part of the sentence after the word because is the cause.

Example cause and effect:

1. We forgot to set the alarm last night, so we all woke
up late this morning.
cause: we forgot to set the alarm last night
effect: so we all woke up late this morning.
2. Since we run out of eggs, I have to go to the store.
cause: since we run out of eggs
effect: I have to go to the store.
3. When the water starts to boil, the kettle whistles.
cause: when the water starts to boil
effect: the kettle whistles.
1. BECAUSE AND BECAUSE OF
Because and because of is a conjunction which show cause and effect relationship,
Because and because of is more focus on reason.
Differences in the because and because of namely :

 BECAUSE OF
because of is a word preposition or two-word conjunction ,used before a noun or
pronoun. Because of means by reason of, which is then followed by an object in the form
of a noun or phrase pronoun, or verb-ing .
form: Because of + Noun / pronoun/verb-ing
example :
1. Jason was worried because of the rain
(cause : the rain ,
effect : Jason was worried because of )
2. Because of her mother wants it, sinta make a cake
(cause : because of her mother wants it,
effect : sinta make a cake )
 Because
because is the subordinate conjunction or is a conjunction ,
Which is used at the beginning of a clause or clause , before the subject and the verb.
For the rules of using because + clause ,it must be followed or compeleted with the
main clause because the word (because + clause) cannot stand alone.

Form : Because + Subject + Verb

example :
1. We were bored because the speech is too long
( cause : the speech is too long ,
effect : we were bored )
2. Because the weather was bad , he decided to stay at office
( cause : because the weather was bad ,
effect : he decided to stay at office )
2. AS AND SINCE

As and since are conjunction like because or because of, As and since are focus on result,
As and since are more formal than because.

 AS
as is the same as because it is a form of conjunction or a conjunction in an English sentence,
but it focuses more on results than on reasons. As is also a lot in the first sentence of English
sentences.
form: AS / since + subject + verb (kata kerja)
Example:
1. The bell is ringing as we enter the church.
(cause: the church,
effect: The bell is ringing as we enter)
2. My heart was broken as you said good-bye, I would never see
you again.
