Tips for Zoom Meetings
Before your call / meeting

Set an agenda for the purpose of your call.

Prepare what you will need during your call; pen and
paper, a drink, etc.

Don’t sit with a window behind you. The bright light from
behind will darken your face. Face the sunlight.

Let people around you know you are on a call.

Try to find a spot with minimal distraction.
Make sure your computer is connected to a power source.
During the call / meeting

Sit close to the screen. Your face should fill most of it.

When you are not talking, hit mute. (Especially if you are eating.)

Remember when you are on mute during an audio call, you do

whatever you want. BUT when you are on mute on a video call

everyone can still see you! Act like you are truly engaged even if

you are not  Nod your head. Focus on the screen.

Tips for your Zoom Meeting

 When you are talking, spend some time looking at the

camera not the screen. The camera is like your head. The
screen in your neck. 

 Speak slowly.

 Adjust to “Gallery View” to see everyone.

Speaker View vs. Gallery View. On PC or MAC, toggle between views
with these buttons.
