ASF during 2012-2014- 400 FEGs


Value chains are formed with the objective of agribusiness development – thereby
contributing towards increase in income and employment generation

Through value chain approach, FEGs operate as a cohesive business units which
demonstrate value addition, Product diversification, adoption of improved technology
and modern practices, innovation and capacity building of its FEG members, and
connecting with other enterprises who can add value to FEGs produce by processing

10 Rapid Market Assessment in 10 different location (different horticulture through value


chain approach)
400 Farmer Enterprise groups (FEGs) (comprising of 6000 farmer members) established,
made operational and adopting improved technologies.
1200 farmers trained in accounting and record keeping

2000 farmers trained in Marketing, Packaging and Value addition
2000 farmers trained in handling post-harvest losses
2000 farmers trained in effective utilization of farm inputs
123416 livestock holders are trained in management and value addition in dairy products
Facilitated FEG groups to avail matching grants for initiating business Plan (Geotextile
sheet, solar chili dryers, cream separators, milk chillers)
