Main Distribution Frame (MDF) : Pilot

The main distribution frame (MDF) is where incoming telephone cables are separated into individual telephone lines or wires. These lines are connected to terminal blocks fixed on a frame. The MDF distributes the telephone cables into several lines to connect equipment inside the building to cables from outside, allowing multiple subscribers to have telephone service in a single building.
