Now, right-click on the folder and rename the folder by adding .OLD to the name
Step-3 Re-Install QuickBooks Desktop Software

Software.

•Download the QuickBooks Desktop software and prepare for installation.

installed application data or program data, then you need to display the hidden files and
folders first. You only need to uninstall and rename the QuickBooks version folder found
in the Intuit folder.

Now, right-click on the folder and rename the folder by adding .OLD to the file name
Step-6 Re-Installing QuickBooks Database Server Manager

The last step is to Reinstall the QuickBooks Database Server Manager as it is required
to run multi-user mode in QuickBooks Desktop. Download the Database Server Manager
and follow the instructions given below:

•Close all running programs on your server computer


•Click on Setup_QuickBooks.exe. to start the installation
•Follow the on-screen instructions and accepts the software license agreement, after
that click next.
•Now it will ask you to choose the installation type from where you need to select
“Custom or Network Options. ” and click on next, it will install the Database Server
Manager.
•Next, follow the on-screen instructions, when you’re ready, select Install. Give all the
required permission for that QuickBooks needs.
Step-7 Configure Database Server Manager
•Open the Windows Start menu.
•Type “Services” into the search and open Services.
•Select and open QuickBooksDBXX (XX is that the version number) service.
•Go to the final tab and find the Service status section. If it’s Started or Running,
select Stop.
•From the Startup type menu, select Automatic.
•Go to the Logon tab. Select the Local System account option.
•Go to the Recovery tab. Select Restart the Service from each of those drop-down
menus: First failure, Second failure, and Subsequent failures.
•Go back to the final tab. Select Start to restart the Database Server Manager.

Step-8 Configure Windows Firewall Settings


Make sure that Windows Firewall isn’t blocking any Incoming and Outgoing connecting
through Database server. Make sure to give Database Server Manager all needed
permissions to run on your server computer.
