Book Work Expectations
(Glue this on the inside back cover of your notebook)
◦ You need a separate notebook for each subject. NO multi-subject books please.
◦ Notebook must be brought to each lesson.
◦ Title pages to be used to separate units of work.
◦ Margin of a minimum of 2cm on the left hand side of each page.
◦ Each day’s work needs to be dated and have a heading.
◦ All handouts are to be dated and glued in with the work related to them. NO loose sheets clumped at the back of books or just glued in anywhere.
◦ The back of your notebook can be used for specific activities and quizzes, as directed by your teacher.
◦ All notes to be completed in blue or black pen. Pencil is only to be used for specific activities as instructed by your teacher. Underlining to be
done in red.
◦ It is important to take pride in your work and ensure it is neat, well organised and up to date.
◦ Having your work well organised also means you will have all the work you need to refer to for assignments.
◦ After you have returned to class after an absence, it is your responsibility to catch up on notes missed (by borrowing another student’s notebook)
and gluing in any handouts missed – get these from your teacher. Leave space to do this so you are able to maintain your book in chronological
order.
◦ Book work is marked and goes toward your grade each semester!
