This research report summarizes a study on the challenges and opportunities of organized retail sectors in rural Indian markets. The report outlines the objectives, methodology, findings, and conclusions of the study. Key challenges identified include low incomes in rural areas, lack of infrastructure like roads, low literacy levels, and dependence on agriculture. However, opportunities also exist as rural populations are growing and consumer purchasing power is rising. The report recommends the government focus on rural customer segmentation and improving rural infrastructure to support further growth of organized retail sectors in India.
