1. OBJECTIVE
This project is aimed at developing an online application for
the Training and Placement Department of the college. The
system is an online application that can be accessed
throughout the organization and outside as well with proper
login provided.

This system can be used as an application for the Training


and Placement Officer of the college to manage the student
information with regards to placement. Students logging
should be able to upload their information in the form of a
CV. Visitors/Company representatives logging in may also
access/search any information put up by students.
2. REQUIREMENT ANALYSIS
2.2.1 FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENT

i. Provides the searching facilities based on various factors. Such as training,


company, colleges, registration.
ii. It also manage the user details online for college details, registration details and
training.
iii. It tracks all the information of placement, users, colleges etc. Manage the
information of placement. Shows the information and description of the training
company.
iv. Editing, adding and updating of records is improved which result in proper
resource management of training data.
v. Product and component based.
vi. User accounts to control the access and maintain security. Various level of
reports available with a lot of filter criteria.
vii. Decrease the load of he person involve in existing manual system.
viii. Multilevel priorities and severities. Target and milestones for guiding the
programmers.
2.2.2 Non Functional Requirements:

I. USABILITY :This section includes all of those


requirements that effect usability. We get the response
within seconds. The software must have a simple, user-
friendly interface so customers can save time and
confusion. As the project is made using Java, it has fast
loading time than the website made using any other
language.

II. RELIABILITY : The system is more reliable because of


the qualities that are inherited from the chosen platform
Java. The code built by suing java is more reliable.
III. SUPPORTABILITY :The system is designed to be the
cross platform supportable. The system is supported on a
wide range of hardware and any software platform. This
application is being developed using xampp, hence it is
extremely portable.

IV. IMPLEMENTATION : The system is implemented in web


environment. The apache tomcat is used as the web server
and windows XP/vista/7/8/10 is used as the platform.

V. INTERFACE :The user interface is based on the web


browser. The application is developed using JavaFX and
MySQL. The Interface design is aimed. The Interface
design is aimed at a flexible front-end communication to
provide the user with clear information in navigating a user-
friendly interface is planned.
• 2.2.3 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENT

i. The completely separate business logic at server side


from the student interface ensures good performance.

ii. The system exhibits high performance because it is


well optimized. The business logic is clearly separate
from the User Interface.

iii. The response to the user is within seconds, providing


all the information at a glance.
• 2.2.4 HARDWARE REQUIREMENT

Processor : Intel p4 or later

RAM : 512 MB or More Hard

Disk : 40 GB or more
