social networking and its impact on students’ academic performance caused the researcher to
design and conduct this study. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship
between social networking addiction and academic performance of students in grade 11 BLACKWELL
in GOLDEN STATE COLLEGE .
Reduced academic performance is one of the most important
consequences of social networking overuse
for students. The results of a study on medical students showed that students who used social
networks and internet more than average had a poor academic achievement and low level of
concentration in the classroom
