NSVC 2019

• National Solar Vehicle Challenge 2019 is a competition

which aims to raise awareness among upcoming
engineers , industrialists and the public regarding
advancing the sustainable vehicle technology efficiency
in the automobile industry.
• With a goal to achieve, Team Tesla got their hands on
the job. The competition aims at designing an efficient
solar vehicle with a plenty of tests to be performed.
• In this National competition organized by Dynamist
Motorsport Team Tesla achieved overall rank 8th .

Innovations I

1. Parking Assist Sensors   The infrared sensors are used

on the body of the car to detect the obstacles on the
path during parking of the car, two colored LED are used
to detect the distance from the obstacle.
2. Automatic Breaking system Automatic Breaking
system includes sensors and brake controls to help
prevent high speed collisions. These are designed to
reduce the speed of vehicle before it hits something, for
that Regenerative braking is used. Regenerative
braking is an energy recovery mechanism that slows
down a moving vehicle or object by converting
its kinetic energy into a form that can be either used
immediately or stored until needed. This electrical
energy is then stored in a separate 5V battery, which is
then used for the tail lights and other electrical of the
car .

Innovations II

3. Self Driving Using RGB-D Cameras Using the concept of

Neural Networks for object detection and then it is
applied in the detection for detection of humans and road
signs and then it gives a signal to the dashboard about
emergencies.
4. Phone Call and SMS Facility Simple Mobile Phone using
Arduino, in which GSM Module is used to Make the Call,
answer the Call, send SMS, and read SMS, and also this
Arduino phone has Mic and Speaker to talk over this
Phone.
5. Arduino based Vehicle Tracker using GPS and GSM and
6. Emergency Accident Service
7. Temperature Measurement Using LM35 Using
temperature sensors near the battery to detect if the
temperature of the battery exceeds a certain limit.
8. Mobile Charging Port
9. Parking Assist
