EXPLANATORY NOTE
For many Filipinos, life would grind to a halt without lights,
charged gadgets, TV sets, refrigerators and microwave ovens.
Homes, hospitals and offices are reliant on electricity and, on
a grand scale, our country’s macroeconomic growth and
development is dependent on the effective and safe
transmission of energy throughout industries and our
communities.
It is apparent that the chain from power generation to
electrical installation needs to be supported, monitored and
held up to rigorous standards of quality and reliability. While a
current regulatory framework is in place for electrical
practitioners in the country, elevating the standards of the
profession and ensuring that our Filipino electrical
practitioners can build a promising career in the Philippines.
