EVENTS 5 (Risk Management in Events)

Risk management involves assessing risks and putting measures in place to mitigate potential losses. Some key risks include fires, earthquakes, bomb threats, and typhoons. The risk management process involves four main functions: 1) recognizing and identifying risks, 2) reacting to risks and determining mitigation measures, 3) tracking mitigation measures, and 4) communicating risk mitigation plans. Example activities for students include listing all possible risks for an event and creating prevention and response plans, as well as designing a floor plan showing emergency exits and supplies.
