Constructing A C-Chart

A C-chart was constructed to monitor the number of weekly customer complaints at a large hotel over 10 weeks. The center line (CL) was calculated as the total number of complaints (22) divided by the number of samples (10 weeks), which equals 2.2 complaints per week. The upper control limit (UCL) was calculated as the CL plus 3 times the standard deviation (2.2), which equals 6.65 complaints. The lower control limit (LCL) was calculated as the CL minus 3 times the standard deviation (2.2), which equals 0 complaints.
