What is a citation?

A citation is a way of giving credit to


individuals for their creative and
intellectual works that you utilized
to support your research. It can also
be used to locate particular sources
and combat plagiarism.

What is citation?
Typically, a citation
include the author's
name, date, location of
the publishing company,
journal title, or DOI
(Digital Object Identifier).
Two Forms of Citations

 Arrange the references in Alphabetical order
based on the last names of the authors.
 Do not cut or add to the titles.
 Italicize the titles. When the article title is used,
italicize only the journal title.
