AIMS
The main long-term goal of the Al Qaeda group is to create a
single Islamic state - the Khalifa, based on its own interpretation
of the Holy Quran. The principle of the Caliphate is not the
presence of an official ruler whose activities, in this case, would
be based on atheism; but rather the choice of a spiritual leader.

Al-Qaeda fighters, activists and supporters also advocate the

expulsion of all non-Muslims from Muslim countries - especially
from Saudi Arabia and Palestine - as well as against global
Western influence.
The leader and ideological inspirer of al-Qaeda
was terrorist No. 1 Osama bin Laden. He called
himself a fighter for Islam, in fact, he set
himself the only goal - the war with America.
Within 10 years, George W. Bush promised to eliminate
terrorist No. 1, offering for his head at first 25, and then as
much as 50 million dollars. As a result of a special
operation on May 2, 2011, the American special forces, in
accordance with the order of Barack Obama, managed to
kill bin Laden in his house in the city of Abbottabad.
Today, the head of the terrorist group is Ayman al-
Zawahiri
The main tasks of Al Qaeda after the loss of the Afghan
bridgehead at the end of 2001:

•Be the inspiration for those who want to protect oppressed

Muslims.
• To expel infidels from the Middle East and other Islamic
countries.
• Confront Muslim states and regimes that place the interests
of infidels above the interests of the faithful.
Suicide Attacks
Bombings
Hijackings
Kidnappings
Assassinations
In December 1992, the first terrorist attack of al-Qaeda
was committed, the history of which left bloody traces
throughout the planet; it occurred in Aden (Yemen).
Australian citizens suffered, although the target of the
attack was the US military. From this point, it becomes
obvious that for al Qaeda, the killing of the US military
and the creation of truly Islamic states are interrelated
affairs.
The list of the most famous and significant terrorist attacks of
al-Qaeda until 09/11/2001
February 1993 World Trade Center, New An explosive device fired. 6
York deaths, 1 thousand wounded

On September 11, 2001, 19 militants associated with
the Islamic extremist group al Qaeda hijacked four
airplanes and carried out suicide attacks against targets
in the United States.

Almost 3,000 people were killed during the 9/11

terrorist attacks, which triggered major U.S. initiatives
to combat terrorism and defined the presidency of
George W. Bush.
A total of 2,996 people were killed in the 9/11
attacks,. Citizens of 78 countries died in New York,
Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania.

At the World Trade Center, 2,763 died after the two planes
slammed into the twin towers. That figure includes 343
firefighters and paramedics, 23 New York City police officers
and 37 Port Authority police officers who were struggling to
complete an evacuation of the buildings and save the office
workers trapped on higher floors.

At the Pentagon, 189 people were killed, including 64 on

American Airlines Flight 77, the airliner that struck the
building. On Flight 93, 44 people died when the plane crash-
landed in Pennsylvania
IDEOLOGY

The ideology of the group is based on the desire to purify

Islam from the wrong currents, to establish the rule of true
Islam in all Muslim countries, and since 1997 throughout the
world. All Western trends should be banned.
Special ideological preparation also takes place in the training
of recruited fighters. As part of the "sectarian" treatment, the
person is convinced that the ultimate goal of life is death in
battle.

It is curious that to call new people and preach their ideology,

the movement is actively using modern communication
technologies.
The terrorist group is currently in the process of extinction.
However, it served as an example to young terrorist
organizations such as ISIS. Despite its small size and lack of
permanent territory, the group was able to deliver a
significant blow to leading Western countries. It was the
attacks of Al Qaeda that made the world seriously think about
the problem of international terrorism.
