Working with Model Builder
 Analyzing database is tedious task involving
number of operations to deal with the agenda
on hand.
 Building model is another way of working out
such tasks.
 Models are specially beneficial when you have to
perform similar analysis time and again
Model To Determine Flow Accumulation From
Dem
Follow the instruction:
 Open ArcCatalog.
 Open ArcToolbox if not already visible.
 In the root (ArcToolbox), right click and select New
Toolbox.New toolbox will be created. Rename it as
My_First_Toolbox.
 Right click on My_First_Toolbox and click on New
and then on Model.
 New blank model will be created and model builder
window will appear. You will create model in model
builder. Rename the Model as My_First_Model
Follow the instruction…

 Drag and drop required tools in the model builder.


An oval shape will appear labeled. It represents
input data or output data.

 Click on Run in file menu to run the model. Add all


the input and output feature classes in ArcMap and
examine them.
Final Output with Model Run
