DMP device feature :


 Mailbox
Scan process that store document to mailbox than
retrieve to client PC
 Scan to E-mail
Scan process that will forward document to client
email address
 Scan to SMB / FTP
Scan process that will forward document to PC
client thru SMB or FTP port

On DMP device, Scan to SMB/FTP also called Push


Scan

Different from scan to SMB , scan to FTP need IIS


enable ( Internet Information Services ), that mean
we open gate that will allow others connected to our
PC
After IIS enable, folder to store document that
scanned is needed, complete with user name and
password to log-in
Next step is create address book on DMP device, this
similar with SMB process
Alternated Option

Even we enable IIS , we can use simple FTP server


application
This application doesn’t need to enable IIS , this only
use FTP port , sometimes the firewall with block this
application. Just click allow

Simple procedure to enable


 Copy semua file ke folder local ( sebaiknya di
C:// atau di C://Program Files
 Run file ftpserver.exe
 Make few setup
 Run Server
Configure the FTP
Server
 Double click FTPserver.exe

 Select Show Configuration, check all box


 Select Show User Account, create user name
and password
 Browse folder for scan destination
 Check all box

 RUN server by click RUN button


Set Address Book

 Similar with creating address book


for SMB

 Major different are


 Idak perlu set Share name dan
Save ini
 User name and password sesuai
dengan yang sudah di set di ftp
server
Kemungkinan Problem

 Problem yang mungkin terjadi saat instalasi ftp


server

 Firewall , buat exception untuk program ini

 Anti hacker, pada beberapa PC yang ada


aplikasi anti hacker sebaiknya di nonaktifkan
