Basics of Electronics: - Resistors - Capacitors - Diodes
Resistors, capacitors, and diodes are the basic components of electronics. Resistors limit electric current and have a color code to indicate their resistance value. Capacitors store electric charge between two conductors and can be analogized to a rubber membrane that stretches and unstretches with water flow. Diodes only allow current to flow in one direction due to their asymmetric conductance characteristics of a P-N junction.
