What is Sanitation
◦ Sanitization is a process that reduces or kills pathogenic microorganisms from a place or surface to such
an extent that those are no more harmful to humans.
◦ It is an intricate process that involves the consideration of a lot of factors. Sanitation is an aspect where
neglecting even one factor can potentially cause a lot of harm.
◦ Sanitation services as a whole comprise of various services such as surface cleaning, microbial cleaning,
UV treatments, environment cleaning, etc. These follow a sort of procedural flow. First the physical dirt
or dust (if any) has to be removed. The area (environment) has to be ridden of any existing dust or
smoke. The are and the surfaces have to be thoroughly vacuumed after which comes the chemical
cleaning. Spirit-based sanitizing chemicals are used on the surfaces, and their mists are sprays in the air
to clean the environment. Then comes UV treatments.
◦ With the prevailing conditions, it has become pertinent that strict steps should be followed to avoid any
mis-happening, as well as to make sure such a situation doesn’t arise again.
Data Collection and Surveying
◦ For this, the first step was to understand the market need for sanitation services. Upon
surveying, it was found that either the sanitation services were incomplete, with some of the
important cleaning steps missing, or that they weren’t that popularly opted for. This helped us
decide what all “cleanliness objectives” we will have
◦ The next was to canvass the competition. Upon intensive research, we figured out some of the
basic cleanliness techniques and strategies opted by common sanitation service companies.
This enabled us to know what exactly we were competing against
◦ Finally, we researched about some of the common techniques of sanitation, and how to
implement them, latest sanitation equipment and chemicals used, general safety concerns and
their possible solutions, and precautions against covid19 to decide how we were going to
provide the sanitation services.

Business model
1) Description: a sanitization service for people so that they can easily and efficiently keep their
work place or even their homes clean and safe.
2) Target Customers: Large MNC companies, Small Business owners, Homes, Schools and
other educational institutions.
3) Our solutions: Easily accessible sanitization service. Our workers will come to the customers
place and then perform the sanitization. The customer can book our services through our
website.
4) Cost: Subscription-based: This is a monthly paid service through which the we provide the
customer the service according to their needs. Pay-Per-Service: By using this model the
customer pays a price every time we provide a service.
Marketing
◦ Before developing marketing strategies, some basic aspects to know are the budget and financial goal, to
have a direction for the business, and identifying the target audience. As a sanitation company, our most
potent customers would be offices, industries and manufacture companies where sanitized environments
are important.
◦ Sweep the market for the competitors. While advertising via social media platforms, emails, display
advertising, even physical pamphlets, we make sure to highlight what makes us better from the
competitors.
◦ Opting for pay-per-click advertisements (paid search marketing) , and organic search marketing via
search engine optimization would ensure that our company “comes up” multiple times on the Internet.
The more it comes, the more people will notice.
◦ Another effective strategy is influencer marketing. A type of social media marketing, this involves
endorsements and product mentions from social media influencers and popular people who have a lot of
social following. This is effective as it would “create” customers by influencing them that there is a need
for sanitation, the disadvantages of not indulging in the practice, advantages of our services and what
makes us better than our competitors.

The website
◦ The website is the first thing a customer will see when he wants to get our services.
◦ We are using a variety of new techniques and tools to ensure that the user gets all the information he
needs .We are also using different techniques to make our website safe and user-friendly.
◦ The website would contain an overview of what we are and what services we provide. It will also have a
video that would better explain our sanitization process to the customer.
◦ We will also develop a web app that the user can install so that they can get regular updates on the latest
sanitization trends and our new services .
Scope of the business
◦ Presently, covid19 has wreaked havoc in the country. Due to the highly contagious nature of the virus,
all industries and businesses had to be halted. Even now the situation hasn’t really come under control
and even minor carelessness can prove to be problematic. But life doesn’t stop. Work has to continue. In
such a situation, offices, industries and factories are extremely likely to opt for efficient sanitation
services that cover every aspect of hygiene to make sure no mishap occurs. We are not only providing
with a sanitized environment, but also the service to sanitize the clothes, and protective equipment to the
employees to make sure risk is reduced to a minimum. Additionally, besides providing a one-time
service, we will also offer regularly scheduled services to make sure that sanitation is done daily.
◦ Even once this situation has been brought under control, one thing that has been informally is the dire
need of sanitized environments to make sure such a situation doesn’t happen again. Besides, a lot of
industries often have hazardous risks, such as manufacturing units, chemical industries, etc. They will
always need efficiently sanitized work environments. Having done business with them currently, strong
customer relations will have been established which would mean that they continue to prefer us in future
as well.
