INTRODUCTION
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

• - marketing strategies are evolving as time passes by.


• -the social media are one of the latest kind of marketing
strategies that are being used nowadays by different
people, companies, and even small businesses and
firms.
PROBLEM STATEMENT

This research aims to answer the following questions:


• • Is social media a big factor in learning or knowing about NDGM?
• • How does social media help NDGM in boosting the number of
enrollees for Senior High School?
• •Do online platforms help a lot in promoting Notre Dame of Greater
Manila?
• •Is social media marketing enough to introduce NDGM to other
students and encourage them to enroll?
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

The main objectives of this study are the following:


• To assess the social media marketing of NDGM and if it is a helpful factor in
knowing about the school
• To know if online platforms are effective enough to be used as marketing tools
by NDGM
• To know if social media marketing can be an effective marketing tool for senior
high school in NDGM
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

As stated, this research aims to see the effectiveness of the current social media
advertising of NDGM in terms of promoting or introducing the school to other
students. The results can help in determining whether the current promotional
tools are enough to encourage students to enroll in NDGM particularly in the SHS
level.
• NDGM will benefit because good strategic marketing is one of the most
important aspects in promoting a school because it can be used to establish
brand awareness as well as customer loyalty.
SCOPE AND LIMITATION

• This research will only focus on the social


media marketing strategy of Notre Dame Of
Greater Manila. This study will only benefit
NDGM, specifically but not limited to the
SHS level.

THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

• The social marketing theory is composed of six features


namely; creating audience awareness, targeting the
right audience, reinforcing the message, cultivating
images of impressions, stimulating interest, and
inducing desired results.
RESEARCH DESIGN

ÌThis research is done as a qualitative research as it seeks


to find answers whether social media can be an effective
tool to introduce NDGM to outsiders or other students.
SAMPLING METHOD

• The sampling method that will be made for this


research is purposive sampling as the researchers will
get respondents from the Grade 10 level.
RESPONDENTS

• Grade 10 students
DATA GATHERING PROCEDURES

• This research will use surveys and interviews as its main


data gathering tools. The researchers will use online
surveys to get data from the population which are the
Grade 10 students.
ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

• The primary purpose of this study was to analyze the perceptions


of the Grade 10 students of NDGM if social media is really useful
in terms of making it as a marketing strategy to increase the
number of enrollees in senior high school. To further understand
the data, here are the feedbacks that the researchers gathered to all
the participants to the questions given to them.
QUESTION 1: IS SOCIAL MEDIA A BIG FACTOR IN KNOWING ABOUT
NDGM? WHY? OR
WHY NOT?
• Most of the students answered yes to the question about social media being a big factor in
knowing about NDGM. They responded that social media can be used to gather data plus
the fact that all of the students are using it everyday. It is very common to use social
media accounts nowadays because it is more efficient and easier way to gather
information about certain things. However, some of the students are not convinced to use
social media as a primary source of information because according to them, in social
media, information can spread easily but somehow, they are afraid because a lot of fake
and irrelevant news or articles spread across the Internet.
● QUESTION 2: DO SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS
HELP A LOT IN PROMOTING NDGM
TO POTENTIAL STUDENTS?
• Almost all of the students answered yes to the question if social media
platforms can help a lot to promote NDGM. There are a lot of reasons why
most of the students answered yes. According to them, it can help by
showing the recent events and activities done in NDGM to the user of
social media which will encourage them to enroll to the said school.
However, other respondents believe that promotion can also be done by
means of sharing the experiences of the students themselves to encourage
the target market to enroll.
QUESTION 3: IS SOCIAL MEDIA ADVERTISING ENOUGH TO INTRODUCE NDGM TO OTHER
STUDENTS AND ENCOURAGE THEM TO ENROLL?
• In question no. 3, the dominant answer was no. According to the data gathered, not all
students are knowledgeable and media literate. Not all students are using social media to
choose a school to enroll. Additionally, they said that there are a lot of ways to promote
the school aside from social media plus the fact that social media is not that reliable
because of fake news spreading across it.
• To summarize all the data gathered from the three questions, the researchers can say that
social media is quite useful to promote the school but is not enough to rely only to this
kind of marketing strategy. In addition, social media marketing must be united to other
marketing strategies in order for it to become effective and efficient way to promote the
school.
DISCUSSION

• the researchers can say that social media can be a powerful tool
to be used in sharing information to different people to convince
them about a certain goal. However, social media alone might
not be effective as expected. Social media must be united to
other marketing strategies to become more efficient and
successful to increase the number of potential senior high
enrollees.
CONCLUSION

• There are many kinds of marketing strategies that can be used by a certain school in order to increase
their enrollees. The use of social media marketing is, without a doubt, one of the biggest factors in
achieving one’s goal or desire. The NDGM community rarely uses social media as a platform for their
marketing strategies. In developing the marketing strategy of schools such as NDGM, the use of social
media should be used in order to introduce and possibly increase enrollees for senior high school.

Old marketing strategies may be useful too but living in a modern world requires modern marketing
strategies. NDGM might use social media marketing only as an additional to old marketing strategies
used in the past.
RECOMMENDATIONS

Based on the findings and conclusions presented, the following recommendations are suggested:
• 1.) Build engaging content on social media targeting not only students but also parents in
order to establish relationship, brand awareness, and eventually, loyalty.
• 2.) Develop a strong social bond to the target market by means of being active on social media
platforms that are always accessible for all in order to have customer satisfaction.
• 3.) Combine new or modern marketing strategies with the old and traditional ones in order to
have an effective and successful advertising content intended for the target market.
• Recommendations for Future Researchers:
• 1.) They must be aware on how NDGM uses social media as a marketing tool.
• 2.) Going to different libraries will help in gathering more specific data regarding a
chosen topic than going in only one library.
• 3.) The number of respondents is optional, however, the number of respondents can be
increased in order to find more emerging themes and establish firmer accuracy.
