    Technique
    • Point of view expose :
    a. kidney (renal pelvis)
    b. ureter
    c. bladder
    • Immediately after contrast injection, right lateral and
    ventrodorsal radiographs should be taken. The same
    radiographs should then be repeated in 15 minutes

    • Have Abdominal x-ray results (radiograph)
    • Or do x-ray examination : AP Projection with patient
    recumbent used to the scout image
    • This image serves to check the preparation of the
    gastrointestinal tract, check the position and to
    enable the radiographer to set exposure factors.

    • should have the same contrast,density, and degree
    of soft tissue density as abdominal images.
    • The images must show a sharply defined outline of
    the kidneys, lower border of the liver, and lateral
    margin of the psoas muscles
    • The amount of bone detail visible in these studies
    varies according to the thickness of the abdomen
