What are the Entry
Requirements?
College regulations stipulate that applicants to the Full Time course must:
• have been out of full-time education from at least June 2018
• have GCSE Grade C or above in English
• have GCSE Grade C or above in Mathematics (or equivalent numeracy
qualification)

• have been out of full-time education from at least June 2018
• have GCSE Grade C or above in English or equivalent Literacy Qualification
•have GCSE Grade C or above in Mathematics or equivalent numeracy
qualification
• If you have exams as part of your course and require additional support you must contact
the Inclusive Learning Team and complete a LS1 Form at the start of the academic year.

Further Learning
•Fee required at Time of enrolment for Part time this will be August
•Fees can be paid in instalments with a quarter paid up front and three monthly
instalments afterwards
•Even if you leave the course the remainder of the fee must be paid
Timetables
• Full Time Students will have 16 hours of classes per week across a
minimum of three days dependent on the option Module be taken.
• Part time Students will have 7.5 hours of classes per week:
• History/Politics (Evening – Tues and Thurs)
• Sociology/Psychology (Evening – Wednesday and Thursday)
• Sociology/Psychology (Day- Wednesday and Thursday AM)
What do students say about the
course?
In terms of challenges, I would say the biggest hurdle was balancing
uni work with life. Family responsibilities and work play a much bigger
role for us than school-leavers. We have to balance everything a lot
more, which can be overwhelming at times.
