discipline? Data mining and knowledge discovery.
 Understanding data, Types of data and data similarity
 Data Preprocessing, cleaning, transformation and selection.
 Association rules mining, frequent pattern Mining, Efficient methods for
frequent pattern mining.
 Classification/Prediction. Classification - tree-based approaches, Neural
Networks, Bayesian etc.
 Clustering basics, partition based, density based, model based and
hierarchical clustering methods. Outlier analysis. Different methods for
outlier analysis.
 Some Advanced Topics
 Mining sequential and time series data.
