Your Vessels Trimming Moment Will Generate TRIM Only When Your Vessel Starts To Float Free in Water

1) A ship's trimming moment only generates trim when the vessel starts to float freely in water as it leaves drydock. 2) As water fills the drydock, the force of buoyancy rises and positions itself below the ship's center of gravity. 3) When the vessel floats freely, its center of gravity and center of buoyancy come into vertical alignment, causing the ship to take on trim and achieve longitudinal equilibrium.
