PM Organization Structure
From the plants created in the system, one or more plants is designated as planning plant. Basically planning plant is
where all the maintenance planning activities are performed.
Depending on the situation this can be a centralized function or de-centralized. In centralized planning, all the planning
activity will be performed at one location, and only that plant is designated as planning plant. While in case of de-
centralized planning, then each plant where maintenance can be carried out will be designated as a planning plant.
For our purpose we will assign one plant as the planning plant.
