1- Determine the goals
• What are the high-level goals of the
evaluation?
• Who wants it and why?
• What is the Goal of this Evaluation:
Are you trying to check the consistency of
application?
Are you trying to check how much time required to
perform the task by the users?
Are you trying to evaluate the metaphors that has
been used within this application?

2- Explore the questions
• In order to make goals operational, questions
must be answered to satisfy them.
• For Example:
• The goal of finding out why some customers
prefer to purchase paper airline tickets rather
than e-tickets
– What are customers’ attitudes to e-tickets?
– Are they concerned about security?
– Is the interface for obtaining them poor?

4- Identify practical issues
For example, how to:
•Select users

•Stay on budget and Time
•Stay on schedule
•Find evaluators

6- Evaluate, interpret &
